Among all thermoplastics, polyacetal sheets, plates, and rods are among the strongest and stiffest. High resistance to solvents and chemicals, low moisture sensitivity, and good fatigue life are all characteristics of polyacetal and Delrin plastic materials. Products made of polyacetal also have outstanding electrical characteristics. There are homo-polymer and copolymer grades of polyacetal available, as well as a material with improved bearing grade.

A semi-crystalline engineering plastic called polyacetal (POM) is useful for engineering applications and is suitable for CNC machining.

  • High mechanical strength
  • Excellent resilience
  • Good creep resilience
  • High impact strength, even at low temperatures
  • Very good dimensional stability
  • Good sliding properties and wear resistance
  • Excellent machinability
  • Physiologically inert (most grades are suitable for food contact)
